Privacy policy

Effective date: September 21, 2026

1. About this policy

PGM Indoor Golf Inc. ("PGM", "we" or "us") runs PGM Indoor Golf Calgary at 6712 Fisher St SE, Unit 80, Calgary, Alberta, and this website, pgmindoorgolfcalgary.ca. This policy explains what personal information we collect through the website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canadian privacy law, including Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act.

By using this website, you agree to the collection and use of information as this policy describes. You can limit what is collected at any time with the choices in sections 5, 6 and 12.

2. Information you give us

  • Contact form: your name, email address, phone number if you add it, the topic you choose and your message.
  • Franchise inquiry form: your full name and email address, your phone number and area of interest if you add them, and what you tell us about yourself.
  • Emails and calls: whatever you choose to share when you email or call us.
  • Newsletters and offers: your email address, only if you agree to receive our newsletter or promotional emails.

Please don't send payment card details through our forms or by email.

3. Information collected automatically

When you visit the website, we use Google Analytics to collect information about your visit, such as:

  • the pages you view and how long you stay;
  • the links and buttons you click, including links to book a bay, buy a membership, call us, get directions or email us, and whether you sent one of our forms;
  • the website or ad that brought you here;
  • your device type, browser, screen size and language;
  • your approximate location, such as your city, which Google works out from your IP address.

Google Analytics does not store your IP address, and we do not use this information to identify you by name.

4. How we use your information

  • To answer your questions and help with bookings, memberships, cancellations and lost items.
  • To review and respond to franchise inquiries.
  • To send newsletters and promotional emails, only if you have agreed to receive them.
  • To understand how people use the website and to improve it.
  • To measure how our Google ads perform, and to show our ads to people who may be interested, including people who have visited this website before.
  • To keep the website secure and to meet our legal obligations.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files that a website saves in your browser. This website uses:

  • Google Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_0YX7PN53S5), which tell visits apart and group them into sessions. They last up to two years.
  • A Google Ads cookie (_gcl_aw) and a matching entry in your browser's storage, saved only when you arrive by clicking one of our Google ads. It records that ad click so we can tell whether your visit led to a booking click, a call or a message. It lasts up to 90 days.
  • A session note in your browser's session storage after you send a form, so the same message is not counted twice. It is deleted when you close the tab.

Google may also use its own advertising cookies on Google services and on other websites to decide which ads to show you. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The website still works without them, but we will not be able to measure your visit.

6. Google Analytics and Google Ads

Our Google Analytics account is linked to our Google Ads account. This lets us see which ads lead to bookings, calls and messages. It also lets Google Ads use lists of past visitors to this website to show them our ads on Google and on partner websites, which is called remarketing.

Google Analytics keeps visit-level data for 2 months and visitor-level data for 14 months, counted from your last visit. After that, only combined reports that do not identify anyone are kept. Google processes this information under its own privacy policy, and explains how it uses information from sites that use its services.

To opt out:

7. Other services on our pages

  • Google Maps: the maps on our home and contact pages load from Google, which receives your IP address and may set its own cookies.
  • Google Fonts: our fonts load from Google's servers, which receive your IP address and browser details.
  • Bookings and memberships: you book bays and buy memberships on GolfBooking (golfbooking.ca), a separate booking service. What you enter there is collected under GolfBooking's own terms and privacy policy, and we can see your booking and membership details so we can run the facility. Payments are processed by GolfBooking and its payment providers, not by this website.
  • Links to other sites: sites we link to, such as Instagram and Google Maps directions, have their own privacy policies.

8. Sharing your information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the website and the business, and only as much as they need:

  • DreamHost, which hosts this website and stores form messages;
  • Google, which provides Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Maps, Google Fonts and the Gmail inbox that receives form messages;
  • GolfBooking, which runs our booking and membership system.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or when it is needed to protect our customers, our facility or our business.

9. Where your information is stored

Some of our service providers, including DreamHost and Google, store and process information on servers outside Canada, including in the United States. While it is there, it is subject to the laws of those countries, and authorities there may be able to access it.

10. How long we keep information

We keep messages from our forms only as long as we need them to answer you and to keep reasonable business records, and then delete them. We keep your email address for newsletters until you unsubscribe. Google Analytics data is kept for the periods in section 6.

11. Security

The website uses an encrypted HTTPS connection. Form messages are stored in the website's admin area, which only authorized PGM administrators can open, and in our email inbox. No way of sending or storing information online is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access.

12. Your rights and choices

You can:

  • ask for access to the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct information that is wrong;
  • withdraw your consent to marketing emails at any time, using the unsubscribe link in any of our emails or by contacting us;
  • opt out of analytics and personalized ads with the tools in section 6.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date at the top.
